Coproduction Forum with France as Part of IFFC Manaki Brothers 

The cooperation as part of the project “Coproduction between France and the Western Balkan countries” continued with the support of the French Embassy and the French Institute in Skopje.

As part of the International Festival of Film Camera Manaki Brothers, yesterday at the Officers’ Hall in Bitola there was a closed coproduction forum with France with the participation of filmmakers from the region and representatives of the French film industry.

At the forum, held with the support of the French Institute of Culture and the French Embassy, several projects were submitted and the jury selected three films that in the development stage – As a Warm September by director Vlastimir Sudar, Izlov by Montenegrin director Matija Jovanovic and Heva/Desire by producer Alex Nikolic.


The selected directors and producers had the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with three French producers Maxime Afshar, Guillaume Marie Charles and Christophe Postic, with the goal of establishing potential partnerships and to facilitate the involvement of France in the coproduction of their future films.


The forum was attended by Laetitia Kulik, Branko Chobanov and representatives of the French Embassy. The aim of the forum is to build a bridge between regional authors and the French film industry and open doors for new coproduction possibilities and international cooperation.
