In the lms selected for this year’s Camera 300 Programme, we tried to include works of high aesthetic value, works that would appeal to both broad audiences, but also to those viewers who prefer excellence in the artistic approach of lm auteurs.

We are especially pleased that in the main programme we have several lms that put their mark on the one-year period between the previous, 45th edition of the ICFF Manaki Brothers and this
latest edition, not only because of the awards and accolades they reaped across the world, but also because of the great visual mastery of the cinematographers signing these exceptional works.

The Camera 300 Programme of the 46th edition of the ICFF Manaki Brothers consists of eleven feature-length lms, most of which have had their premieres at the major lm festivals in Venice,
Toronto, Sundance, Berlin, Cannes and Karlovy Vary.

The lms are mainly creative endeavours by writer-directors, with four of them having their feature-length debut. One among them is Vytautas Katkus, who signs his lm THE VISITOR as both
director and cinematographer.

This year, the Camera 300 Program once again features Virginie Saint-Martin, who already won the Silver Camera 300 at the ICFF Manaki Brothers twice – once in 2007 for the lm I AM FROM TITOV
VELES and in 2013 for TANGO LIBRE. Another returnee is Naum Doksevski, who previously competed at the 42nd edition of the ICFF Manaki Brothers with SISTERS and then again two years
later, with HOUSEHOLD FOR BEGINNERS, for the cinematography of which he received a Special Mention from the outstanding jury led by Peter Bijou and Daria D’Antonio.

I am convinced that this year too, the jury led by experienced cinematographers and renowned gures from the cinema world will recognize the exquisite talent of the masters of the cra, as well the promising cinematographers whose time is yet to come.
